Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe, in particular providing opportunities to study and gain experience abroad. The aim of Erasmus+ is to contribute to the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, jobs, social equity and inclusion. Studying abroad is a central part of Erasmus+ in order to create a positive effect on later job prospects. It is also an opportunity to improve language skills, gain self-confidence and independence and immerse yourself in a new culture.
