More than 35 interested students from Offenburg and Newcastle experienced exciting days at Newcastle Business School in England.

As part of their Global Business Project Seminar (Master's programme in Business Administration (BWM) at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences) the students travelled to Newcastle Business School in England for a few days. Together with other local students and the Senior Leadership Programme of Northumbria University the prospective Master's graduates experienced varied and instructive days. Starting with an inspiring innovation and strategy workshop about the circular economy. The contents were:

  • How to create new and sustainable alternatives to a linear economy?
  • How to allocate capital to stimulate growth through the transition?
  • How to finance the 2030 Agenda more broadly?

The students attentively followed the knowledge-rich presentations by Dr. Alistair Bowden, Prof. Dr. Andreas Klasen, Prof. Helene Kopina, Chris Hamlin and Alexander Gehringer. On two busy days the students enhanced their knowledge in group work and worked on a case study on "Business innovation for sustainable health care". In the evening, social cohesion was strengthened over a joint meal. It was a successful event for all participants.
