Panel discussion with Allianz, Citi and Siemens

German companies are known worldwide for their quality, efficiency and success. And international financial services providers help to finance and secure exports and foreign investments. But how do I make a career at internationally operating companies? What skills do I need to work for an exporter? What do banks or export credit insurers expect?

Students discussed these and other questions with board members and department heads from international corporations at the Gengenbach campus in June 2015.

"Good grades are not only important for a career in the international business.", reported Anita Hellstern from the Siemens Group. Key building blocks are also relevant internships or a semester abroad, added Myrjam Tschöke, Managing Director at the large bank Citi. But above all, the personality is decisive, says Edna Schöne from the Allianz Group. Her advice: build networks, highlight your strengths and take responsibility.
