New chapter released: Digitalization of state economic promotion

How can digitalization improve economic development of governments and contribute to the common good? Several interesting perspectives on this question are published in chapter “Digitalization of state economic promotion” – in a new edited volume.

Professor Andreas Klasen, Director at the Institute for Trade and Innovation of the University Offenburg, discussed how digitalization can support state economic promotion and development in a new published edited volume. Several authors of the published collection are scientists at Offenburg University.

The chapter written by Andreas Klasen demonstrates possibilities for development banks, innovation funds or export-import banks and export credit agencies to intervene toward public benefit. The chapter provides an overview about how companies can be supported in a digital economy and which digital solutions encourage state economic promotion regarding foreign trade.
