If new trade and investment opportunities lead to sustainable growth, how do small and medium-sized enterprises benefit? Prof. Dr. Andreas Klasen also spoke about these key issues at the World Export Development Forum (WEDF) in Qatar.

Under the motto “Innovation, Investment and Internationalization”, more than 700 representatives of international organizations, governments and companies from 92 countries particularly discussed the topics of global trade and innovation in October. The Offenburg University of Applied Sciences was able to contribute results of applied research: Andreas Klasen from the Faculty of Business Administration and Industrial Engineering showed, among other things, how governments can support the competitiveness of companies with innovative financing instruments. The World Export Development Forum is organized annually by the International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint organization of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. This year’s national host was the Government of Qatar.
