Professor Klasen joined the discussion at the EU Export Finance Lab in Copenhagen via video transmission. Grith Skovgaard Ølykke, Commercial Law Consultant at Kammeradvokaten, Bob Jennekens, Senior Economic Advisor and Deputy to the Chief Economist, and Dan Cleff, Deputy Director at EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency, discussed the advancement of export finances taking new developments and already established conditions into account.

Central topics of the discussions were the increasing relevance of challenges in the interfaces between EU State aid control, the OECD Arrangement and the WTO disciplines on subsidies. New and merged institutions as well as newly introduced instruments such as innovation financing for exporters, CAPEX guarantees, and climate finance also played an important role in this discussion.
