The topic of this year's Spring Meeting was "Negative headwinds in the macroeconomic environment - how can export credits dampen the storm?" Professor Andreas Klasen was pleased to chair three stimulating sessions on this topic in Brussels.

Three renowned economists kicked off with a short discussion on the main macroeconomic and geopolitical challenges: Ana Boata, Nicholas Redman and Baptiste Thornary.

The second panel focused on the challenges for innovative BU members on how the industry can provide solutions in terms of "economic reconstruction". This represented: Hoda Atia Moustafa, Rafael Docavo-Malvezzi and Mariane Søndergaard-Jensen.

And the event concluded by a discussion panel with Moritz Brandenburger to find out what BU members think about the challenges facing the industry.

Andreas Klasen thanked BU President Maëlia Dufour and Secretary General Paul Heaney for the opportunity to contribute and moderate this important session.
