Offenburg goes Oman

Exciting topics and satisfied participants: The Institute for Trade and Innovation (IfTI) gave new impetus to innovation and product development at the Aman Union Seminar.

At the two-day training event in Muscat, the teaching of the content was also innovative. In addition to IfTI head Professor Andreas Klasen, other scientists and practitioners were virtually present at the seminar.

Dr. Simone Krummaker, IfTI Fellow and Senior Lecturer at Cass Business School, City, University of London, reported on the demand for trade finance and credit insurance in a video chat. Mogens Agger Tang from the Danish state export promotion agency EKF and Allon Groth from GIEK from Norway discussed product innovations and strategic marketing with 20 participants from Jordan, Turkey, and Oman. The two experienced practitioners had joined from Copenhagen and Oslo.

The Aman Union is a regional association of state and private export promotion instruments from Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The Institute for Trade and Innovation at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg conducts research in the areas of innovation promotion, trade policy and export financing.
