Interview with “The OPEC Fund for International Development” about climate change

Professor Andreas Klasen talked in an interview with The OPEC Fund for International Development about strategies to reduce CO2 emissions.

Senior Editor Howard Hudson of The OPEC Fund for International Development published an article about interesting insights of this Interview with Klasen on 8th of November 2022.

Klasen discussed the potential to reduce CO2 through improving the coordination of innovative systems. He also explained that there is a need to increase cooperations all over the world in order to realize the transition. For example, transfer of knowledge, a common implementation of technological innovations and introducing new rules on a global scale could be necessary results of such cooperations. Simultaneously, it is necessary to enhance social and economical conditions of development countries by applying innovative solutions, Klasen said.

Howard Hudson’s article was also published in the magazine „OPEC FUND QUARTERLY 3/2022 Climate - challenge solutions – More than 50 ways to save the planet”. The OPEC Fund for International Development cooperates with 125 countries and has the mission to foster sustainable development in disadvantaged areas in the world.
