IfTI and ITC present SME Competitiveness Outlook 2019

|

How do successful small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operate in Germany? What role does the topic of financing play, and where are the opportunities and challenges? Offenburg University of Applied Sciences will discuss the topic of SME (or SME) financing with regional and international experts on June 27, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Klostercampus Gengenbach.

The International Trade Center (ITC), the joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization, will also present the new “SME Competitiveness Outlook 2019.” This year’s motto is “Big money for small business.” Private investment in small and medium-sized companies is not only necessary in Germany. The issue of financing is also central to developing countries, so that they can sustainably exercise their role as drivers of jobs and competition.

As the German cooperation partner of the ITC, the Institute for Trade and Innovation (IfTI) is pleased to carry out the first publication of the data and the presentation of the 2019 report this year. Helmut Becker (Chairman of the Board of Management of Sparkasse Offenburg/Ortenau), Dr. Julia Spies (Head of ITC) and Dr. Frank Stetter (Managing Director of Brauwerk Baden) will discuss on the podium. The event will be moderated by IfTI head Professor Andreas Klasen.
